As the days roll by,
without giving me a second glance,
I feel... Lonely.
You're not here
with me.
Seasons seem to just
come and go,
so easily.
And yet
with each passing day,
I am somehow
happy.
Even though
you're not here,
I'm one day closer
to meeting you.
To see you.
To smile again.

My body seems to
convulse with each
harsh intake of breath.
The sticcato sound
of my tears alone
spilling to the floor.
I bury my face
within my hands,
trying so hard to
forget.
Yet the memories
we've shared
simply won't let me go.
